View Full Version : I want to build a computer from scratch

I think I know enough to put a computer together, but I don't think I
know enough to pick good quality parts. I've been reading about "ATX",
"AT", "Baby AT", "SECC" and I'm just not sure what it all means so I
think I'll pick out my parts then check compatibility. Really, I guess
all I need to know is some good motherboards and CPUs that do the "ATX"
thing....lol....

One critical, yet often overlooked part is the PSU. If you select
a good one, you get quiet and reliable, but have to spend a bit
more.

yep. i've discovered that to my cost.

i need to replace the ones i have. these are for rackmount cases.
which manu would you recommend? i have a particular interest in
quiet PS.
