View Full Version : Using a KVM switch in reverse
Hi,
I currently want to share a computer with the local console and a
remote console (via a kvm extender). I will only be using one or the
other and was wondering if it could be possible to use a kvm switch in
reverse? I.e. switch between consoles as opposed to switching between
computers? (I already have a kvm switch at my disposal but am a bit
scared to try lest I damage the extender).
Thanks,
Khilan

This is not possible, except with pure mechanical switches.
