View Full Version : Dazzle card reader size limit

Periodically I check to see if I can find driver updates for my Dazzle High
Speed USP 8-in-1 card reader.

I see drivers for older operating systems but not for Windows 2000 nor for
Windows XP. I have one at home and one at work, and use it to move data back
and forth. I use a 64 MB ScanDisk memory card. Back when they were real
expensive, I bought a 256 MB ScanDisk memory card so that I could move larger
files, but when I plug it in, it locks up whichever computer I use it with.

Any hope?

I doubt drivers would fix your problem. Spend $25 and get a different
reader to try.

A pointless exercise.

Because Windows ME, 2000 and XP have built-in USB Mass Storage drivers,
so they don't require any from the manufacturer.

The Dazzle line is orphaned and poorly supported. Mine locks up whenever I
try to read a CF card from Sandisk. Two firmware updates from Zio (who
inherited the product line) fail to make any difference.

Life is too short, and card readers too cheap, to put up with this
nonsense. Buy a new card reader.

Did it, tried it, returned it.
