Depends. I would recommend a ball mouse because there haven't been any
studies to determine the responsiveness of an optical mouse when
reflecting off the fleshy anal passage.

You must use a serial or PS/2 mouse - the signals from IR or wireless
won't get through.

The fact you haven't tried it yet leads me to believe there were
