so i spent $1700 on a new gaming computer, took all night to set everything
up and work out all the kinks, i clean the horrible mess left after opening
all the boxes things are shipped in and after playing Half-Life 2 for about
4 hours it crashes on me. i re-formated and re-installed windows xp pro but
was having graphics problems (things looked wierd and i couldnt get mobo to
read my nVidia 6600 GT), i realiseed i hadnt set bios to detect my monitor
on setup, thats when the BIOS went crazy on me. when i boot up there are
random characters everywhere and if i boot into bios setup the options are
all in wierd characters and the screen is filled with an 'a' with accent.i
reset CMOS memory by taking out battery and using the jumpers which made it
so i couldnt even boot into safe mode, then i tried flashing the bios (even
though i couldnt actually read anything i used my mobo manual to navigate
bios and just blindly typed things) and now i can boot into safe mode and
ironicly the vid card is detected and everything works except that its in
safe mode and my BIOS is all screwed up. any help would be greatly
appreciated.

SPECS: mobo is foxconn WinFast on nForce 4 chip (i think its 4) with Award
BIOS, i dont know if you would need anyting else, i can be reached by email
at JohnBltz@hotmail.com
