Hello,

I recently got a Sony 48x48x24x16 CDRW DVD combo drive from ebuyer,
model number CRX 300. Hoever, I bought the OEM version and so I
didn't get the driver with it. So when I want to use it to write
CD's, Nero wont recognise it. In order to get it working properly
with Nero am I correct in saying I nedd to have either the driver
installed, or a copy of cdrom.cfg that includes my cd writer?

If so could anybody help me out with either of these? I cant find a
copy of cdrom.cfg or the correct driver, so if anybody could send me
any of these I would be extremely grateful. My email address is
andrewp_uk@hotmail.com. In fact, there isn't much mention of the
exact model of cdrw I have anywhere on the internet.

Any information anybody could give me would be brilliant,

Thanks in advance,
Andy

Supported Recorders:

(Check the 'Supported since' column with the Nero version you have if
your Sony model is listed.)

No such thing as a driver for an internal ATAPI drive. Your OS should
automatically recognize it as a DVD-ROM. The writing capability is strictly
the responsibility of the burning software, which must be configured for the
model you have.
According to the links provided by SMH, your drive is in Nero 5.5.10.13 and
newer. You need to upgrade your Nero. What version do you have, and did it
come with a different burner?
