View Full Version : old 4x CD-RW not writing audio CDs.
I never wrote any audio CD since I bought this aptec(? sounds like
nothing written on the coster face except CD-RW) internal IDE 4x4x8
CD-RW bundled with Adaptec Easy CD Writer 3.5 in 1999. So far it
worked fine for buring data cd though its slow. To make the long story
short, I tried to write a WAV file to this CD-RW and it completed the
task successfully but, I cann't playback that cd. I can see the CDA
tracks on my window explorer. I tried Adaptec 3.5 with original driver
shipped with this CD-RW in Windows ME and also on Windows 2000. It
didnt work on both OS. And I tried to burn with Nero burn ROM 5.5 and
no success in Windows 2000. Also I tried with slow x2 write speed no
use. I have wasted enought Audio CDs (Inmation Music CD) and Verbatim
Data CDs to try this.
This is a old Hp Pavilion PII-166MHz-96MB RAM with 5GB Free space. Its
still writing Data CDs good. So not sure what might have went wrong.
Appreciate any help.
