Nero - can't make multiple copies

Using - Nero 5.5.10.15, Win 98SE

Can't figure this one out from their help guide. Probably a simple fix, but
I can't figure it out. Posting any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to make multiple copies of a data CD. I open Nero, drag & drop
all the files over, and then File>WriteCD. First copy always works fine.
Then I save the compilation as backup.nra.

Now, whether I go ahead now and put in another blank CD and try it, or clear
everything and File>backup.nra, and try, I get an error message saying to
put the original CD back in or something like that.

Only way I can burn a 2nd copy is to close Nero, open it again and then load
the files again.

I have a different burning program on a laptop and it is SO EASY to use --
just enter how many copies, etc., and click, click, click, and you're done.
(It's on the laptop but I don't have the orig software to load on this
computer.)

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks, Charlie! I'm pretty much a novice -- what's an ISO image file?
Also, I never understood what multi-session means. The other burning
program I have on my work computer (can't remember the name) is sooooooooooo
simple. Just "how many copies do you want?".... Nero works just fine but
sure is hard for a bozo like me to understand sometimes! B^)

It would help if you identified the version of Nero you are using, but
regardless you can simply set the number of copies you want and the
program will burn them in sequence. If you have too small a window, you
may need to scroll it down, but on the tab marked Burn, there is a space
for number of copies.

Works fine for me in various builds of 5.x and 6.x.

..NRA is for audio and for data it's .NRI.

There is an 'easy or simplistic' view of the Nero software and then there is
the regular view. You might be on the 'view' that steps you through the burn
but not many choices are obvious.
The regular dialogue box that pops up has several tabs across the top.

Multisession- and to do several copies the choice is NO multisession ( a
multisession DOES NOT finalize the CD so another day, or another session can
be added to the burn)
ISO-
Label- its handy to put a title in here then when checking the cd this title
shows up in your explorer view
Date
Misc
BURN - Write is checked and this is finalizing the CD ( for sure there will
be no more burning sessions done to this CD)
below that is the choice for number of copies. If more than the number 1 is
entered then the instruction boxes pop up to put in the next CD etc.
My version is 5.5.8 which shouldn't be that much different than your 5.5.10

2 - FILE > WRITE CD... etc?

You are using the Wizard. Click "Close Wizard" button at bottom right.
