New CDR'S showing Full

Just bought a 10-pack of Optimum cd-r's & placed now 3 in my drive & they
are all showing blue = No space, running winxp Home on a Compaq Presario
AMD Athlon 3400+ operating at 2.4GHz & a 48x max. CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo
drive (48x32x16x48x). Have never had a problem with it. Shows up in device
manager my computer etc, The only thing I have not done is put a different
cd-r not from this package. Any clues as to what I can do

1. Check it out with a blank you know is good.

2. Using any mastering program or (better) DVD Info Pro, see what the
disc really is. If the blue is Explorer, that's exactly what you'd
expect from a blank disc - it is not writable in the sense Explorer
means. If it's from something else, a check with a quantitative program
should explain what's going on: how many blocks total and free, the
indicated manufacturer, etc.
