Benq DW1620 wont display contents

Hi,

weird problem. When i insert a DVD-R disk in this drive i cannot see
its contents. The explorer opens and treats it as an empty CD. The
weird part is that when i insert the same disk in another drive (far
older drive) i see the contents perfectly.

The benq is master in IDE1 and the other drive is slave in IDE0 (i
have already switch them but the problem remains).

I tried to change the drive letters and it still remains. IDE in Bios
is in auto mode and UDMA enbled. DMA on the drive is on.

Firmware B7N9, could this be the problem? Could it be the 40pin cable?
