CD Burner Locks Up On Large Jobs

I have a LG 52x32x52 burner. Lately, it has developed the most
annoying problem...it will not burn any file that exceeds roughly 200
MB in size. I have been able to burn files up to that size
successfully, but on anything larger, I get a write error around 70%,
or else the process just freezes. I have not changed any other
hardware on the system nor any relevant system settings. Can anyone
suggest a cure?

Using Nero 6 to burn. I've tried removing it and doing a fresh install
of Nero Express. No change.

Maybe the burner needs a clean and lube job? Check (defrag) the hard
disk and there's enough free space. Try uninstall/reinstall with
running Nero clean tool in between. If still problems, post the error
log.
