Hi!
I've forgotten the password of my 3port printserver Hawking PN7337P.
Does anybody know how I can reset this printserver to factory presets?
Thanks!
Bye,
Dirk

Don't have this unit, but it looking at the manufacturer's web site, looks
like you could FTP into the unit and upgrade or reset the firmware without
logging in to the box itself. Good chance this would reset the password to
default.

I tried right now, but unfortunately I can't get access, it asks for a
password/userid... :-((

You must have a later version of firmware. I had use of a Hawking PN7117P
for awhile (a review is at:
http://www.sacpcug.org/archives/0104/prc0401.html) and do not recall any
issue with passwords. Does the Web-based config screen look familiar?

No, not just a little bit...
And the great support of Hawking Technology makes it easy for me never to
buy anything from Hawking Technology (as they just don't react on
emails...) again!

PS: Maybe there is a possibility to short-circuit any chip to reset the
factory settings? A reset switch couldn't do anything more?!

Since my research showed the PN7117P was based on similar models (see review mentioned earlier), perhaps you can research those companies and determine if the PN7337P is based on similar models. If so, maybe an e-mail to these other companies (or a download of their User Guides) is in order. There is also the possibility that, similar to motherboards, there is an internal jumper that can reset the unit. Have you open the shell yet?
Yes, my problem is to find other oem-vendors of this printserver.
Until now I didn't found one (I found a similar lookin' printserver at an
online shop, unfortunately this was a NoName without any hints about the
producer...)
I already opend this f***ing printserver, but there's no jumper, switch,
etc... Just nothing...
