Wireless + cable LAN

I have a small problem I hope to get around....

I have 2 computers (A+B) linked with Standard 100Mbps cards (using a X over
CAT 5e cable)

I recently connected 1 (A) to a wireless DSL Modem/Router and that works
fine, but...
I now cannot share the DSL connection with computer B, and
Computer A no longer sees any computer on the cable connection.
Computer B still sees A but is denied access now. (even with sharing
enabled)



I'm running XP on both and ahve tried everything I can think of to reslove
this.
(When I tried to bridge it stopped either computer accessing the web)


Any advice, hints, tips, or general network lessons would be greatly
appreciated, I'm feeling in the dark a bit.

- Are A and B actually still connected to each other through the original nics
using the same cross-over cable, and you *added* a wireless network adapter to
A?

- XP Pro or Home?

- did you enable Internet Connection Sharing on A (making sure it is DISABLED
on B), and either used the "make a diskette" facility on A to then
automagically configure B, or manually configured B, to use A as its Gateway?

I assume that you connected the DSL modem to the router WAN port and that
the router has wired LAN ports in addition to the wireless port. If so,
just connect computer "B" to one of the wired LAN ports with a "straight"
CAT 5e cable. This configuration would give you a small network and allow
file, printer and DSL sharing. And you will not need any computer on to
act as host for the other computer to share the DSL connection.
