Trying to go wireless with the router in the house. Laptop has an
802.11 card.
So I got a Linksys WRT54G v. 2 router. Now I can bring the laptop into
the basement where the router is and I get a good signal. I finally
had to settle on channel 10. If i take the laptop back upstairs the
signal drops out. What could I do to get this thing to work?

Thanks

Move the router to the ground floor so it covers both the upstairs and
downstairs equally well. Linksys routers are known for their low signal
strength, so returning it and getting another brand of router might help
too.
