Hi:

Wondering if there is a source around still for NeXT Laser Printer ozone
filter. Judging by the stench, it is time to replace mine. If it is
not still around, would HP LaserJet II/III part fit, or part from
something else?

Thanks.

I am wondering the same thing, threw mine away sometime ago and
needless to say, I haven't used my NeXT Laser Printer since then. I
am going to try to use one from a LaserJet II.

There were 41 hits on "ozone" at this site. I have not tried to deal
with this vender yet but plan to. Good luck.

Asked Randy and he said, there's no solution, so I tried looking and I
can't find one either. The only feasible alternative I can see, would
be to purchase carbon fiber layers and custom cut them for the NeXT
Laser Printer, since an ozone filter is nothing more than a block of
carbon fiber.

Most robotics shops carry carbon fiber sheets, they usually make them
up to 1/8 thick, so you would need a few layers to match the width of
the ones used in the NeXT Laser Printer. If you go this route, make
sure to wear protective goggles, a mask, and gloves, and that you also
wear long sleeves.

Yours truly,

Michael

Rest assured, the custom cut carbon fiber sheets works better than the originals.
