Hi folks,
just a brief notice, I managed to get a SEAGATE Baracuda ST336918N to run
in an original NeXT Color Station. It is a 50pin SCSI SE device, needs
only 8 Watts of power, and is less noisy than the fan(!!) and has 36GB of
space. Means in turn you can have 7 partitions with 4GB each under
OpenStep.
That Rocks.

That is indeed cool. Did you need to create a disktab entry to
/usr/etc/disk it, and if so any chance of posting said disktab entry or a
URL for it?
Cheers!

### disktab entry ends ###
Recognize the rb#'s, 1% head room is sufficient for my case (40MB). 'df'
entry looks like this:
/dev/sd0a 4083001 45697 3996473 1% /OpenStep4.2
I am just in the process of installing OpenStep on it (so the disk is
more or less empty, moving a big tar ball at the moment). The NeXT
Station runs as a diskless OS4.2 client over ethernet yet, server is a
white NS3.3.
