Hi.
Is it possible to use a "Dimension Card" with a NonADB Cube 68040
system?

Thanks,
Giampiero

Fine, thanks. :-)
Of course, I need a SoundBox and a rare Y-Cable, do I?

Yes; that's what my cube has in it. You can actually use an ND board
in any cube that has an NBIC on the CPU board. Even an '030, if you
like pain.

You don't need a Y-cable, since the ND has its own 13w3 monitor
connector. You can use a sound box for the mouse and keyboard, or
attach a mono monitor and run dual-headed. Depending on your power
supply version, you may pretty much have to take this route: early cube
power supplies aren't too fond of staying turned on if there is little
load on the -12V line. There are workarounds involving soldering power
resistors inside the sound box, but obviously that's kind of annoying.

Ok.

That's a good new.
I saw some picture of the ND and its 13w3 connector (female or male?).

You can use a sound box for the mouse and keyboard, or attach a mono monitor and run dual-headed.

And what about the connection between soundbox and ND? Is it a standard
13w3?

Thanks,
Giampiero

Well, that's a little hard to define for 13w3, isn't it? :-) Anyway,
it's the one you would expect to find on a workstation.

The sound box plugs into the CPU board, not into the ND. No 13w3
anywhere.

Ok. When I'm able to find a ND, i'll find the way to connect it to a
nonNeXT display. :-)

OK (my brother has got one of this soundbox, but I never user it).

Thanks.

There is NO connection between ND and soundbox. The color monitor
connected via straight 13W3 to the ND board. The soundbox connected via
mono-monitorcable, the same as for the mono-monitors, to the cube
motherboard. keyboard ans mouse are connected to the soundbox.

regards, Andreas

Perfect! Now, I need only a ND, but it doesn't seem simple to fid it.

Thanks, Gia.
