Hello,
I created an image in Photoshop. It is a honeycomb structure, and it has
the typical white negtative space around it when it is saves as a TIFF
or JPEG. However I need the image in Illustrator but just as the honey
combs ALONE without the white negative space.

How can I achieve this?

I tried copying from PS and pasting into Illustrator but it wont work
when I have a selection on.
I tried alpha's but it wont work?

Any clues?
Thanks, ALE

If you can create a work path in PS, then export paths to illy as an ill file type.. Once in illy,
select all, stroke it, then release your crop marks.

Stroke it? That is new for me.

You need to make a Clipping Path in Photoshop Alex, and save
it as an EPS. Which means you need to select the object you
want by making a selection with some selection tool (Lasso,
Poen Tool or whatever), go to the Path Palet and make a
Clipping Path. In that way it will be transparent.

hey, thanks for the reply. It should work but when I create the clipping
path, the path lines are either too jaggedy or rounded. I need them to
be sharp, and straight. Playing around with the tolerances does not
create straight lines for all of the selected edges of the image. What
other options are there to create the straight paths? thanks! Alex
