3d effects

I am trying to create a pipe effect (you know, like plumbing pipes?) with an
image I created in Illustrator. Is there a plug in for it?

You would need an extrusion plugin for AI. Otherwise, you are in for quite a
few hours of work. CorelDraw comes with an extrusion tool, but I'm sure that
I've seen an ad for an extrusion plugin for AI. If you have CD, you could
create your pipes in CD and then finish the drawing in AI. The time savings
would be substantial.
