Illustrator 10:

I have some simple shapes composed of straight lines with no fill. I want to
break the path into seperate line with the lines remaining in their original
positions.

How do I do that?

Thanks

Joel

use the scissors tool (C) at the point where you want to separate the line.

Hey Joel...
Doesn't Illustrator 10 still have the "scissors" tool
It may be next to the knife tool.
All you need to do is select the scissors tool
and click at each place you want to seperate the path
