Hey,
I am having a lot of problems sending an illustrator 10 file to an HP
DesignJet 1050C. First when I send the file to the printer,
illustrator stops responding about 2 seconds before it is done sending
the file. Second it takes about 2 and a half hours to print the file
out. I tried taking the file into other programs (including CAD) but
it only looks right in illustrator. I'm assuming that the file is too
big but I'm not sure how to shrink it besides creating outlines and
flattening the transparency.
If anyone has a way to fix this problem it would save me hours!
Thanks a bunch,
Aaron

How much memory is in the printer? How large of an image are you printing?

The image is 34x47 and is not very graphically complicated, mostly
white space with a couple simple logos and type. The printer has a
memory of 64 mb

64mb? Ouch... I would suspect that is your problem - but I would contact HP
to discuss the matter first, especially considering what you spent on the
printer...
