View Full Version : Categories; how to do hierarchy?

After something like 10 years with MS Money, I'm now converted to
Quicken 2005. One thing I can't figure out is the Category List. If you
edit a category, you see that it has a certain parent category. And the
category drop down in the accounts area shows it using this. But the
Category List puts it in some weird order that I can't figure out. If I
choose to create a new category (not subcategory), it puts it 3 levels
down from an item halfway down the list, even if I click on Expense
first. And my categories/subcategories that were imported from Money
2004 using the Data Converter are all weirdly listed.

How do I do the hierarchy view on the Category List, so that this area
makes some sort of sense?

Thanks.
