You could try using eValid. It is not a free tool and I have not tried
using it on Unix, however you could use it without problem in console mode.
The capture replay mode is easy and the performance testing is fantastically
easy. The price tag is a fraction of other (more well known) test tools.
You could try the free eval version and if it suits your requirements buy a
C/R licence.
IMO it is a good tool, and if you wish I could give you a demonstration (in
France).

Regards

news:b4c72b33.0307210703.77914243@posting.google.com... I am looking for a software to test some application on a HP Unix system under HP-UX 11. Softs to be tested are under X or console mode. I do not have always the source code for the applications. could you advise me some tools, if possible free, that could help me. For software under console mode, I write some scripts so it is not the most important, my big problem is to test GUI application. If I have understood the terms, I am looking for a free black box regression test tool that is free and of course powerfull thanks
