Hello, All!
I've set Q2004 to do scheduled updates and checked the provide password on
windows s/u. I then rebooted windows but I was never asked to input the
password. Does this feature work?
Thanks.
Colonel Blip.

It works for me on a Win98 box. Any time I reboot, the desktop appears and
then BAgent asks me for my One Step Update password. Mind you, I had to
delete and recreate the whole PIN vault to get One Step Update to even
work, but the password dialog never failed to come up.

I suspect the problem in my case is bagent is not in the s/u group so it
never loads. Could you look and see if there are any parameters that go with
bagent?
Thanks.

If you do a CTRL-ALT-DEL it should show up in the list of processes if
it's running. On my system it starts with no parameters, just bagent.exe

I'm pretty sure that the windoz three-finger-salute won't show what you
want.
You'd want to run msconfig and look at the Startup tab.
Alternatively, right-click and select Properties of the Quicken Scheduled
Updates entry (if it's there) in the Start/Programs/Startup Folder.

CTRL-ALT-DEL works on Windows 98 and Windows NT, and does indeed show
process info. I should have qualified my statement by stating which
versions of Windows I was referring to.
