View Full Version : Installing 8.1.7 client (win2k)

Hi,

I've downloaded 8.1.7 client for Win2k but cannot run it.

When I click setup the hourglass is coming and then nothing. :(

I managed to run it on another win2k machine...
I checked the running services but in vain.. I thought it was a jre version
running but even with the last one installed, it doesn't help.. :(
Besides, the install comes with its own version of jre so it shouldn't be
the problem...

Has anybody come across this issue ?

Can't run what? The installer? What is the CPU in the machine?

There is a problem with the installer on Pentium IV machines. If you
search on google (groups) you will find the related postings and the
remedies. I did install 817 on a windows 2000 machine running on an AMD
cpu and do not have the reported problem.
