View Full Version : NLS_LANG on SGI
Hello,
I'm using an application developped with Forms 4.5, on SGI station.
When I set the NLS_LANG parameter before lauching it with a 8 bits
character set(like American_America.We8iso8859p1), the application
crashes.
When I set it with a 7 bits character set(like
American_America.Us7Ascii), it works well.
Does anyone know what append ?
Thanks for your replies.

Apparently your SGI station lacks 8 bit support, and you didn't
install the correct fonts.

I have checked the fonts on the SGI station, by the command xlsfonts.
The fonts available were the followings :
iso8859-1, iso8859-2, iso8859-3, iso8859-4, iso8859-5, iso8859-6,
iso8859-7, iso8859-8, iso8859-9, iso8859-10, iso8859-15.
