Create 2 "Items" called "Tuition1" and "Tuition2" for $100 and $150
respectively.

Then create and memorize an invoice called "Tuition1" and "Tuition2". Or
"TuitionJonesFamily" and one each for each family. Make sure the frequency
of each bill is set to monthly with the next date Sept 1st, and have the
system generate the invoices automatically. These options show up in the
Memorize Invoice dialog box.

news:behtlk$hbp$1@bob.news.rcn.net... i am trying to setup qb to do tuition for a small school. tuition is, say, $1000/year for one child, and $1500/year for 1+ kids. it is payable in 10 monthly installments beginning 8/1. i went into memorized transactions and created a tuition -group- called tuition, but could not see how to create tuitionOneKid and tuitionOnePlusKids for 100 and 150 month respectively. how do i do that? 2) once i get that done, how do i associate tuitionOneKid with one family and tuitionOnePlusKids with another family, etc.? 3) once i get that done, how do i get qb do 'charge' these families their montly amount come 9/1? i read through the archive, the qb help and knowledgebase, and qb for dummies, but did not see the answer. thanks in advance
