Hello,

Does anyone know if you can import an item list? Example: I have a table
or whatever with about 300 items. Can I format it and import it or perhaps
"tap into" QuickBooks existing item list?

Thanks

Sure you can import items, for more ideas see the help section of the
program, or the manual, or the online support page at
www.quickbooks.com. Then after you read that come back to us and we'll
see what help we can give you if you get stuck.

Jack,

I asked how I can go about getting this into QuickBooks, NOT where I
should go for help. ie. The web. If you can not help, don't reply. It
happens to be that I didn't find an IIF or documentation. All there is on
the site is other IIFs and vague documentation. Nothing specific to my
question/issue.

Thank You.

You can.
There is doc on the QB site and inside of QB. There are also tools to help
you do this, to avoid learning IIF.
One is available at http://www.bigredconsulting.com/aboutlistimport.htm

Unfortunately QB isn't very import friendly. You can find the
information in help or the website it is there. You can also export
from the sample data file the item list then using that file create your
own file format for the data you want to import.

OR as another poster says in the post below there is a tool available.
The cost is about $50.

Go to a sample QB Client. Export the item list from the sample. File,
Utilities, Export then check Item list.

Open in excel and use as a template
