I would like to put an image in my form. I don't want to use
libraries or templates. Is there some other way that I can display an
image in a form? Oh by the way I am working in Oracle Designer 6i.
Thanks,
Maggie

Easily. Just create a text item, convert its type to IMAGE and connect
it to a BLOB column in a table. Provided, of course, the image is in a
format supported by 6i which can be found in the IMAGE FORMAT row of the
Property Palette.

Daniel, thank you for responding. Let me throw you another thought.
The startup screen (also known as splash screen or navigation screen)
I've created doesn't have a table/columns associated with it, just
action items displayed as buttons for the user to navigate to other
forms. Is there a way to include an image on a startup screen of this
type that has no table/column?
Thanks,
Maggie

I don't know using Designer, but I know how to do it using Forms 6i
(you can later do a reverse engineer on that form to keep designer up
to date).

- Open the canvas you want to put the picture
- Go to File->Import->Image
- Select the file you want

The file will be saved within the fmb file, so it does not need to be
deployed to the final user along the fmx files.

Maggie,
you can put an image in a template and use this template only for the
splash screen. You can also use the built_in Read_image_file (reads an
image from the file system and puts it into an item) in a
when-new_form_instance trigger,

Frans
