For some reason I can't get !configure to display (set-up) only one HDD, I click on the up down arrows but I don't seem to get just one drive? Anyhow I choose two drives and formatted the HDD just fine and it's running a treat (as drive 4), but riscos shows a drive 5 and when I double click on it the system grinds to a halt for a while and then displays an error message. Any idea how to get rid of drive 5? You've got round the sympton not the cause!

I suspect the cause of not being able to select one drive in Configure is
either a dodgy mouse button or a non standard setting of
WimpDoubleClickDelay

Standard is: WimpDoubleClickDelay 10 * 1/10 second
