Hi
Does anyone know if there is a Canon S4500 printer driver? This is an A3
printer. Or can I just use the S450 driver?
I saw Explan had one, but their site is down... :(
Cheers!

I am using the !Photoreal driver with !Photodesk and Impression !Style. It
crashes far less often than the !Photoreal driver for the BJC-7100, but the
default ink configuration is shit. I can give you the Photoreal figures I
worked out for both BJC-7100 and S4500, for best quality and ink
consumption.

I got mine from Photodesk Ltd, at the same time as the printer. It seems
to work well and includes photoreal printing.

I use a Canon S4500 with the Canon BJC-6000Colour driver. All has worked OK
for last 2-3 years.
Hope that helps

!Photodesk reports an unexpected error, printing starts immediately, but the
image will not print complete. I use !Fastspool. When I check the print file
size it is something less than the count for complete print spool file would
be.
I typically print pictures of 2200 x 1700 pixels approximately. I suspect
that !Photodesk has trouble with the memory management.

There does seem to be a long standing problem. I've found it can be almost
completely eliminated by using !Printers 1.53 and printing to a file. Even if
something goes wrong, printing to a file ensures you haven't wasted a sheet
of paper and a considerable amount of time.

How much free space do you have on your hardrive both !Photodesk
and !Fastspool use it to store files.
Are you using Photodesk's Photoreal printer driver or have it
installed as it does not like !Printers greater than 1.53 / 4.

The drivers are identical. I have an S4500 and two of my daughters are
using S450s. We bought the S450s from photodesk with the drivers but one
daughter uses a pc (spit) so didn't need it so I appropriated it for the
S4500 I bought later after failure of my EX
Stuart.
