On this topic. I have a Midi podule connected to my old SARPC to which I
had a Yamaha keyboard attached and Sibelius. What are the chances that
this combination might be able to work on the Iyonix? I think I can
anticipate the answer but I thought I would ask the question!
kind regards

Certainly possible: pop in a backplane and strap on your 32 bitting
underpants to convert the podule ROM.I'm not sure whether Sibelius is
handled by Aemulor, but I'm sure it's covered elsewhere.
Probably a nicer approach would be to knock up a driver for the MIDI
UART built into the Iyonix and ditch your podule,

Sibelius' main problem is not 26bit, but the fact that it uses a 4 colour
screen mode which is not supported by any graphics card, including the Iyonix
and Viewfinder.

No it isn't.... yet..... but if I have anything to say about it, it will be!
It's our first target for Aemulor Pro.

Sibelius isn't working yet. It's my main reason for not saving for an Iyonix.
I had a chat with Neil Spellings at Wakefield, and he's apparently getting
there, but it's taking a while.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone getting the DMI50 card to work, but
to be honest, I'd rather see drivers for something like the Yamaha SW1000
card and its ilk. Opens a world of opportunities. Probably a nicer approach would be to knock up a driver for the MIDI UART built into the Iyonix and ditch your podule,
Depends on the card. the DM50XG (card used for the DMI50) can still hold its
own where MIDI is involved.

Well, you should start saving now... true, the Iyonix can't display a
16-colour screen mode..... but then again the hardware can't run 26-bit code
either. When did that ever stop me?! ;-)
