I was trying to get an A310 operational again. Because the RAM batteries had more or less disintegrated I have lost the original settings. The machine was fitted with a small IDE drive. This is a 2.5 inch unit mounted on a card and the ROM is labelled A400 IDE V1.00.
I've got the software for the HCCS IDE card somewhere. It was on Wonderworks
under "HCCS Survivors", but I could dig it up for anyone that wants it. You
really do need the software to set it up. It's called !IDEMgr and Andy
Armstrong (IIRC) wrote it. I take it the board says something like "COPYRIGHT
ARMSTRONG WALKER LTD" on it?

Later.

You are quite right. It says:

IDE/A400
(c) 1992 AW LTD
Manufactured by
HCCS

If A W stands for Adrew Walker, we are talking about the same thing. I
would be most grateful if you would let me have a copy of the software.

Regards

Jochen
