Hello I was trying to get an A310 operational again. Because the RAM batteries had more or less disintegrated I have lost the original settings. The machine was fitted with a small IDE drive. This is a 2.5 inch unit mounted on a card and the ROM is labelled A400 IDE V1.00. No matter what values I give the configure variables the drive produces an error. The same happens with a spare drive I found in a box. I'm looking for the correct configure values for IDEFSTimer, IDEFSDelay and IDEFSFirCache.
IDEFSDirCache ?
There may well be something else I am not aware of. Does anybody know? Jochen
From an A3010 with an HCCS Ultimate board...
UltimateIDE on
UltimateCDFS off
IDEFSDiscs 1
IDEFSDrive 4
IDEFSTimer 4
IDEFSDelay 8
IDEFSDirCache 32K
