OK...here is my story...I have QB Pro 2003 with the newest updates. This
has been going on for atleast two updates. I go into Print Statements it
starts to print, gets to 218 or some other number around there and then
gives me the QB needs to close error specifically on a technical side it
gives 0x00000005x. Called INDIA and they tell me it shouldnt do
that...REALLY?...I told them if I uninstall and reinstall from the CD it
works fine, only when I update the software does it screw up. So they told
me to use the OLD version and not update it or update to QB 2004...here is
what I have done

Verified Data
Rebuilt Data
Uninstalled/Renistalled and then updated
changed print drivers
tried to print to Adobe instead of the LaserJet

To add I did update the system from Win2000 Pro to XP Pro...
ANY HELP???

UPDATE...I went through and goofed around with the checkmarks where you set
what prints and what doesnt such as invoices less than 1.00, so on. I
unchecked EVERYTHING and started checking them back one by one and
everything previewed fine UNTIL I checked print invoice details...it then
goes to 218 or so then STOPS and shuts down...

Printing Invoice Details... was that even an option on the original CD? I
thought it was an update?

In any case, sounds like printing the invoice details made the print job too
big. May be some some sort of limit, either within QB, the print driver, or
the new XP operating system you installed.
Perhaps you can do a general search for print problems within XP.

Post back with what (if any) error messages you get.

This problem came up infrequently but occasionally when I worked for
Intuit technical. The problem with large files is you run out of
resources. Large runs of invoices or statements over 200 should be
broken down into smaller batches and the runs will be flawless.

You know what they say: "If you pay Indians you get monkeys"!

Reminds me if you tell someone their bank reconciliation doesn't add
up and they say: "It should do"! I always say: "I know it should
that's why I'm telling you it didn't.

Some people seem to think as long as something should be right it
doesn't really matter whether it is or not!

That sounds about right. I ran into either memory or drive space issues on
some of my older computers when printing large batches of invoices.
