This is a problem that I saw with Quicken 2004 and possibly earlier.
Now that I have Q2005, the problem is getting more frequent.
What happens is that when I download transactions (bank, brokerage,
stock quotes ...) into Quicken, it does all the downloads I ask, and
then it's progress dialog box says "Update Financial Institution
Information" This "Update" takes five to ten minutes, and sometimes
longer. What's really irritating is that it can occur sevreal days in
a row. I doubt that Quicken has that much to update every day!
During the update, my network activity level is quite low, so Quicken
is mostly just wasting my time.
Has anyone else seen this? Is there a workaround?
