Would appreciate some info from ant tax people out there on whether the
amount the payor indicates in Box 1, Gross Distributions, should include Fed
tax withheld on an IRA, as well as any IRA distributions of course.

This forum has helped me out on my Quicken questions before, and I sure
someone out there is knowledgeable from a payor point of view on 1099-Rs.
Sorry, but couldn't think of a better group to post this.

Cheers, and cut me some slack,

Jim

FWIW, there are tax news groups that could answer this and you could call the tax
company of the business that will be sending out the 1099-R if this involves your
taxid.
