Hi,
Have an old HP 4C scanner that worked great with my old computer is it's
lone ISA slot. However, recently built a new PC that has only PCI slots. Was
wondering what PCI/SCSI card I could use that would allow me to still use
the scanner with my new computer? Comments and advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
Mike

Any Bustek/Buslogic/Mylex/IBM/LSI PCI SCSI adapter with a 25- or50-pin narrow connector at the back. With a 50-pin narrow adapter, you'll needa different cable. Avoid any SCSI adapter with a 68-pin external connector, such as the Adaptec 2940W.
I use a 3c with my 2940 UW Pro all the time. But you are correct he could
pick up a nice 2930 for less than $20

Some people have had success with Advansys, but I replaced an Advansys with anAdaptec for a client get his scanner running.I have a number of these adapters available. I'll be happy to beat any storeprice, and give you a decent warranty...
