lj4p/win2k pro: no form feeds

Chris,

How much memory is installed in the LJ4+ ? I can't speak for the test page,
but often a printer shows strange symptoms when it does not have enough memory
to hold the page image and all the stacked up commands and data at the same
time. Add to this the fact that Windows printer drivers have become ever more
bloated and inefficient with each Windows release, and you have a case for
upgrading the internal printer memory. You do not need HP-branded memory, only
high quality fast-page mode 72-pin SIMM memory, 4MB, 8MB or 16MB in capacity,
and conforming to the industry JEDEC standard. 72-pin SIMMs are cheap.

As a test, set up the printer resolution for 300 dpi in the driver, rather than
the 600 dpi default. If your stuff prints at 300 dpi but not 600 dpi, upgrade

It has 2MB, but it's not a 4Plus, it's a 4P, as in Personal. It was the SOHO
market laser printer of the time.

The graphics stuff was resolved by reinstall. The problem I have no is no
form feeds on page breaks.
