Hi !

I have read this on HP site :

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?locale=en_US&objectID=lpv18793&locale=en_US&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=32482&prodTypeId=12454

It's possible to put a larger disk on this hp vei8 ?

I have flashed the bios to the latest version, but my 80 and 120 go
dosen't boot.

Thx for your help

Daniel

Ok. I just try the EZ bios. I have test the disk manager on an ibm
computer and no problem.

Thx for your help

Daniel, I have not had hands-on with the vei8, but it would seem to be suffering from a BIOS limitation. HP undoubtedly will never supply a BIOS update to correct the problem, and 3rd party BIOS providers are extremely unlikely to do a BIOS for a highly proprietary HP computer used mostly in large corporations. Absolutely the best choice is to add a Promise or other brand EIDE/ATAPI PCI disk controller card with its own built-in disk BIOS. Software solutions like Western Digital's EZ-BIOS "BIOS overlay" are fraught with short- and long-term problems. ... Ben Myers
