View Full Version : Question About Visualize-48XP

Hi Folks,

I'm using a K-Series system under HP-UX 11.0 that came with a
Visualize-48XP card. I installed an adapter for the EGC connector so
that I could use a standard VGA monitor.

The CDE desktop shows up and is viewable, but the color balance is off
and the brightness and contrast seem weak. I've been through all the
monitor's on-screen settings and they help a little, but not enough.
The picture is slightly green and washed out.

I've used SAM to try to adjust the monitor and graphics card settings,
but there doesn't seem to be anything I can adjust other than the size
of the screen (default=19 inch). The HP program for adjusting the
monitor settings doesn't seem to be installed on this system, either.
Perhaps it's not used for this card?

I've looked through past postings, and I've gone through docs.hp.com,
but there doesn't seem to be anything about setting up a monitor to use
the Visualize-48XP card. I came across a couple of references that say
that an HP monitor was originally included with this card, but I don't
have it.

If anyone has come across this problem, or knows where there's some
useful information, please let me know. Thanks for any pointers!
