View Full Version : Anyone got a DJ1120c printer working with Win XP?

I've just bought a new computer that came with Win XP Home edition
installed. The Windows XP native driver seems to have many fewer features
than my previous Win 98 driver. In particular, I cannot find the Zoomsmart
option in the XP driver, which is used to enlarge an A4 original printing
job so that it prints on an A3 sheet.

Any ideas how to get at Zoomsmart? (I've tried HP email support, but all I
got was a response saying they don't support that printer by email, and I
should check the website - which I did in the first place anyway!) I also
checked HP's own forums, and all I can find is screeds of messages from
dissatisfied HP customers asking about when there will be an XP driver, and
a couple of smug messages from HP technicians saying effectively that they
can't be bothered to develop one.

If there's no workable solution for Win XP, then how about your
recommendations for a decent inkjet printer that will print up to A3 and
won't break the bank (but not from HP, of course; if they can't be bothered
to support their own products for more than a couple of years, then I shall
buy elsewhere.)
