I recently purchased a new laptop, and had no need for my older HP
OmniBook 800CT. I regretfully put it in a plastic case in my closet
where I thought it would onyl stay for a few weeks, until I had
another use for it. From time to time, I would plug it in, and pull
some of my old documents off of it. About a month had gone by, and it
was still working fine. I lft it up there for a little while longer,
and I finally had a use for it.

When I went to pull it down again and plug it in, the power indicator
on the side didn't light up. I tired both of my power adaptors, and
still, no LED. Usually, the power LED will be GREEN=Full Charge/AC
Power, ORANGE=Charging, RED=No battery. The power button on the
keyboard is not working either. I've tried this with and withoutthe
battery. I've tried pressing the reset button, and still nothing. The
contacts inside the laptop, where the adaptor plug gets inserted look
a little rusty, but I have no idea of how to clean them.

Any help on this subject would be great, and I thank everyone in
advance for all help received!

Regards,
Jameson
