'One-Touch' Buttons Problems on Laptop

Hi there

I've got a new HP Compaq Presario 2100 laptop with the five 'one-touch'
auto-launch buttons. The buttons work fine and can launch whatever
applications I want however the problem is that every time a button in
pushed number lock is turned off which is an annoyance as I'm using my
laptop with a full-sized keyboard plugged in hence want the number lock on
so I can use the number keypad. I now have to turn on number lock every time
I hit a one-touch button. The number lock is on all the time and never goes
off except when I hit a one-touch button.

Any ideas how to get around this?
