Since my kids were having some problems playing some games, I decided to
double check to be sure the graphics driver was as up to date as possible.
I'm using Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2X (English)(DirectX). Since I had downloaded
and run ATI video update Version 5.23-C53C, I expected the S/W Release
Version to list 5.23-C53C. Instead The S/W Release Version is 5.15-C9J. I
have run ATI video update Version 5.23-C53C numerous times but nothing
appears to have changed. Should the S/W Release Version number change if
the update is correctly installed? If so do you have any thoughts as to why
mine is not?

I'm running Windows 98 on an HP Pavilion 8380 with a CD and DVD player

Thanks, Lois

Well, I solved my problem. I downloaded the new driver and ran it from the
temp file. Not at all sure why that worked but it did.
