Hello,

perhaps somebody is able to give a hint on how to identify the reason for
a problem I hve with my HP Color Laserjet 4550.

The printer is connected to a local network with a JetDirect-Card and
additionally with a parallel cable.

Two weeks ago the printer started to print a large amount of blank sheets
of paper after receiving a job. This is the case when the job is coming
from a Windows machine using a PCL6-Printer-Driver or from Linux-Boxes
printig via CUPS and Postscript.

The problem did not occure after changing parts, so I do not have any idea
....

To test, whether the problem depends on the JetDirect-Card I connected the
Printer via parallel cable but the problem remains.

I would be happy to get some hints how to isolate the problem.

Detlev
