I have an hp pavilion 522n and recently put windows xp pro on it but i
cannot get the video to work. does anyone know the motherboard maufacturer
for this model? hp doesn't have drivers on their website for this unit.
I was able to get the chipset 845 GL and I looked at the motherboard and
it has P4GL-A on it

thanks,
Greg

If the motherboard has an Intel 845 chipset and on-board graphics, download the
graphics drivers from Intel's web site. The 845 chipset variants have the same
graphics no matter which manufacturer makes the motherboard... Ben Myers

Well I did that already, thanks. I tried the intel 845 GLAD video drivers install
and i get an error telling me that the device cannot be found hence the
reason i came to this forum. I think i will try the intel 845GLAV to see
what happens :) I do appreciate your feedback however.

thanks,
Greg

OK, I downloaded the video drivers for the 845GLVA video drivers and this
worked. The readme for that video driver stated that it cover most 845G
chipsets. After that install i did a windows update and for some strange
reason there was a driver update for the sound driver i was missing!?
Bonus! so i am good. thanks to all who replied.
