I have a HP psc 2210 all-in-one an must send faxes to allways different
numbers. Because we have a homecentral we need to dial at first a nul te get
a outside-line. When you use a normal modem you dial 0,0234567. The ","
makes a pause to wait for a outsideline. In the psc2210 you can program such
a number as 0#0234567. But that does not work when you dial that number
directly. Whe need to program the name and number always at first. Awfull
for one fax. I asked serveral times at HP-Netherlands, but they say it will
work but they cannot test it themselves. yes, crazy.
Who can and will advice me what to do?
Please help us.
Paul.

I've got a d155xi connected to a Philips ISDN exchange, which
also uses '0' (zero) to request an outside line. No pause is
required (maybe because it's ISDN, or because it buffers the
number), so I can dial 00123456 without special delay codes.
If you've an older POTS exchange, the pause might be required; on the
d155xi, that's accomplished by pressing the pause/redial button. You
might have a similar button on your MFC. If not, it sounds like a
major oversight.
Take care,

The problem is that I have an analog-central (Homevox). That central needs
after the first 0 a pause of about 1 second before continuing dialing. It
needs that time for giving an outside dialtone.

You don't have a "Pause/Redial" key on your device? Then I suppose
the brilliant minds at HP marketing decided that this device is
meant to be used at home, and people "at home" don't have exchanges.
Or else they rushed product design, and just forgot it.
