I have an external HP DVDRW.

I purchased a bundle (25 pack) of Verbatim DVD-R (4.7 GB) disks.

When I try to burn a DVD-R it opens the drive - and states "Please insert
blank media". I was able to burn an HP DVDRW backup disk with no problem.

What do I do? Is this a Verbatim issue or an HP issue?

I have the hp 300n, and it is DVD+R. Are you sure the hp 300e is -R?
