I am trying to decipher a Serial number for the date of manufacture of an
HP
Laser Printer. The numbers seem to consist of 4 letters, and 6 digits, such
as USBD005878

Does anybody know if these serial numbers contain the Date of Maufacture?

Copied from a service manual:
The serial number contains information about the Country of Origin,
the Revision Level, the Production Code, and Production Number of
the printer.
HTH...luck...
